Nintendo Seeing Share Loss on Super Mario Run

The game is a huge hit as far as downloads go, but the $10 price point seems to be turning off a lot of mobile Gamers. On the Mobile Gaming Landscape, $10 is a steep asking price for a game. Reviews for the game are at 2.5 stars (as of this writing) with most of the negatives based on Nintendo’s pricing decision.

Oh well… You can’t please them all.

GPU will allegedly take a 40% hit

Leaked specs of the Nintendo Switch show that there are sacrifices in power when the console is taken out of its dock. Allegedly, the GPU operates at 768 MHz when docked, but a paltry 307 MHz when not docked.

Developers will have the option to leave it at this under-powered state to maintain uniformity in terms of performance. Graphics fidelity would still be greater than that of the Wii U, so the performance should still look nice. I can imagine people being highly upset with this…

Assassin’s Creed Movie Sucks

In a total surprise to everyone, the Assassin’s Creed movie sucked. With a 16% on the Tomatometer, it can be safely assumed that the movie lived up to video game movie adaptation metrics (which are not very good). At this point, I am not sure why Hollywood thinks making any more video game movies is a good idea. I don’t think it ever has… The coolest thing about this movie seems to be the movie art.
